Masters of Ceremony breaks down traditional boundaries as the adventurous classical strings of Ensemble Resonanz meet the raw, explosive energy of professional dancers from the HipHop Academy Hamburg. Inspired by Igor Stravinsky’s neoclassical masterpiece Apollon musagète, this bold production drops its performers into a world where rules have vanished, order has broken down, and everyone is hunting for new orientation. Moving effortlessly between fragile ballet strings, pulse-pounding hip-hop beats, and powerful rap vocals, an extraordinary collective searches for identity and truth in a world shaped by shifting perspectives. Initiated by the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, this high-energy interdisciplinary production was brought to life under the direction of Marlene Schleicher and legendary choreographer Professor Niels "Storm" Robitzky, featuring a gripping new score by composer Tobias Schwencke.
