Young Audiences Music

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 17 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Young Audiences Music website, member areas, directories, forms, and related online services (collectively, the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About the Site

Young Audiences Music (“YAM”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides information, resources, directories, community tools, programme coordination features, and opportunities connected with music for young audiences. Some areas are public and others require an approved account.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate, current information and protect your sign-in credentials. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and must tell us promptly if you believe it has been accessed without permission. If you use the Site for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for it. Account and coordination areas are intended for adults acting professionally; a responsible adult must supervise any use by a minor.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Site only lawfully and in a way that respects other users and the service. You must not submit unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, abusive, infringing, or harmful material; impersonate others; attempt unauthorised access; introduce malware or disrupt the Site; use personal information for unsolicited marketing; or copy, resell, or commercially exploit the Site except with permission or where the law allows.

4. Content and submissions

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant YAM a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute it as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, and administer the Site and the relevant programme or opportunity.

You confirm that you have all rights and permissions needed for submitted content, including copyright, performer, image, music, and personal-data permissions. Do not upload confidential information unless a feature specifically requests it and you are authorised to provide it. We may moderate, correct, restrict, or remove content that is inaccurate, outdated, unlawful, unsafe, technically harmful, or inconsistent with these terms. We are not required to publish every submission.

5. Intellectual property

The Site, its design, software, branding, and original content are owned by or licensed to YAM and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Materials belonging to partners, artists, producers, and contributors remain their respective owners’ property. No rights are granted except the limited right to access and use the Site under these terms.

6. Directories and third-party content

Profiles, listings, links, opportunities, and other third-party information may be supplied by independent organisations or contributors. We do not guarantee that it is complete, current, or suitable for a particular purpose, and inclusion does not necessarily constitute endorsement. External websites and services have their own terms and privacy practices; YAM is not responsible for their content, availability, or actions.

7. YAMawards and specific programmes

Entries and participation in YAMawards are also governed by the separate YAMawards Terms & Conditions at /terms-conditions. If programme-specific terms conflict with these general terms, the programme-specific terms apply to that programme.

8. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Site for maintenance, security, legal, operational, or programme reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability, although we will take reasonable steps to maintain the service.

9. Privacy and communications

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy notice at /privacy. Service messages may be sent where necessary to operate an account or programme. Optional communications can be managed through available preference controls or unsubscribe links.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Site and its content provide general information and programme coordination, not legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site is provided without implied warranties of availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, YAM and its partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or economic losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the Site. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, organisations, the Site, or YAM; respond to legal requirements; address inactivity; or enforce these terms. You may stop using the Site at any time and request account deletion through the available account controls.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the Site, our activities, or applicable requirements. We will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use after revised terms take effect means that you accept them.

13. General

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. These terms are governed by laws applicable to the entity operating YAM, without affecting mandatory rights under the laws of your country.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page at /contact.
