Opera Rosa

Welcome to a soft, safe haven where art and play beautifully intertwine. As Croatia’s very first opera for babies, Opera Rosa is an immersive sensory journey designed specifically for children aged 1–4 and their adults. Following the gentle, familiar rhythm of night, morning, and day, four all-female performers guide tiny audiences from dreams to active play using voice, movement, and live instruments. In this non-hierarchical, interactive environment, toddlers are free to explore textures, sound vibrations, and movement at their own pace. The experience wraps up with thirty minutes of unstructured free play right on the stage, allowing a smooth, creative transition back to everyday life. Produced by the innovative art organization SHOOMA, this milestone performance was originally co-produced by the 32nd Music Biennale Zagreb and the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.
